Ellon Castle, Aberdeen, is a late 16th century castle much altered in the 18th. The castle is in ruins and the gardens have not been maintained for years.
However, things are set to improve. A new housing development will provide the funds to restore the gardens and to consolidate the castle.
Work is expected to last for several years to make the garden a focus for the people of Ellon.
This will be overseen by the Ellon Castle Garden Trust who are keen to hear from anyone with an interest in the project.
